The band has been touring consistently every year since 2005. And unlike many bands, August Burns Red have been touring an average of 50+ concerts a year. This doesn’t include their first touring year where they played only 6 live concert appearances or 2020 when many bands had to scale back on their live shows due to the pandemic.
Many of the band’s biggest shows were in the United States, where many of their Christian fans could best appreciate the band’s music and Christian themes. But the band has found success overseas, including an upcoming appearance in Manchester England on October 28, 2022 where they will play alongside Bury Tomorrow, Miss May I, and Thornhill at the O2 Ritz Manchester.
In addition, the current concert season has featured some of their strongest live performances. With some critics pointing to their recent visit to Billings, Montana’s Zoo Montana for a concert on August 13, 2022.
Despite this, one of the band’s busiest concert periods came early in their career from 2006 – 2010 where the band played over 600 combined concerts across the country and across the world. This period was arguably when the band hit their first major pushes towards success especially as the 2007 concert year was in support of the Messengers album.
